Week 8
Salam and greeting to all the reader.
This week is quite a hectic and stressful week for me personally. With a lot of tasks to be done and submit, I cannot fully focus on doing FYP. But Alhamdulillah, Allah still gives me the strength to do some update regarding my FYP project.
So, for this week, I give my full focus on doing the hardware part. Last week I already do the plywood part where I have to be a fast track carpenter😂. Alhamdulillah, I finish it well and for this week I move to do the interior part of my prototype project. I use a material name Polycarbonate.
"Polycarbonate plastics are engineering plastics in that they are typically used for more capable, robust materials such as in impact-resistant “glass-like” surfaces" - Tony Rogers
Basically, polycarbonate is more sturdy than acrylic. Its toughness is suitable for this machine that needs to always operate. Polycarbonate or PC is commonly used for plastic lenses in eyewear, in medical devices, automotive components, protective gear, greenhouses, Digital Disks (CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray), and exterior lighting fixtures. Polycarbonate also has a very good heat resistance and can be combined with flame retardant materials without significant material degradation
The video below is my updated progress for this week. It also shows how I handle my work with the polycarbonate. that is all my updates for this week, sorry for the short updated and insha'Allah will write more next week
