This week, all of the FYP 1 students are having a workshop on how to write chapter 1 (Introduction) and chapter 2 (Literature Review). It was conducted by Dr Noor Hidayah. I gain much knowledge on how to write these two early chapters. The workshop starts at 3 p.m and finishes at 5 p.m at the Microsoft Teams platform.

 

From this workshop, I gain some knowledge in writing Introduction and Literature Review.

 

Introduction or chapter 1 needs us to explain the most basic important things in our project.

It contains:

 1. Problem statement; The things that trigger student or researcher in doing the project

2. Objectives; The solution of the problem statement

3. Significance; A contribution that the project can give to the society or  the student itself

4. Scope; Place and location that meets the requirement of the objectives and problem statement

5. Limitation; The limit of the project that cannot be done under certain circumstances and can be improved and upgrade in the future

Problem Statement is simply the research done by the previous researcher and must be related to the topic that wants to be done by the student. The student must summaries the journal with their own word and try to find some way to improve that previous research.
